Alta White is a system which uses a teeth whitening powder. There is a two-step process which is easy and can scrub away stains on your teeth.

1. The swabs are used as applicators for the teeth whitening powder. They are just like cotton buds except they contain a liquid. Each swab contains a liquid formulation designed to work with the whitening powder to whiten your teeth. The upper and lower set of teeth each require the use of one swab. The kit contains 24 swabs which last 6 days.

2. The teeth whitening powder is applied with a swab to whiten your teeth while gently removing stains and polishing your teeth.

To use the Alta White system you snap the swab at the blue-coloured ring at one end. This moistens the cotton at the other end of the swab. You dip this end into the whitening solution. And apply the powder to your teeth. You can also use a wet toothbrush to gently rub the powder in. Lastly you rinse your mouth to get rid of the swab solution and powder.

The Pros of using Alta White are:

Alta White can work fast according to some users but this depends on how much your teeth are stained. Some stains, such as those left by smoking and drinking dark coloured liquids such as red wine and coffee take longer to remove.

It is easy and quick to apply. In about 1 minute you can have all your teeth covered. And takes even less time if you don't whiten all your teeth. For example, you may just want to whiten the most visible teeth.

Is cost effective compared to laser treatment and some teeth whitening kits.

Convenient- there is no need to visit a dentist, you can whiten your teeth from the comfort of your own home.

The Cons of using Alta White are:

The powder or liquid in the applicator may cause irritation or pain to people who are sensitive to its ingredients. The powder contains magnesium peroxide and aluminium trihydroxide. The applicator contains glycerin, methylparaben, propylparaben & FD&C blue. However this isn't very likely to happen.

Most home whitening systems are not as strong as whitening procedures available at the dentist and it may take slightly longer for you to see major results.

The bottom line is this, if you want whiter teeth, using a system that is easy and quick to use but don't want to spend too much time and money at the dentists, then this system is for you.
